Red With Orange
(30" x 20" oil on canvas)
Anyone who is familiar with my work knows I enjoy painting peeled fruit. I can easily get lost in the many surfaces it offers.
For a change, I've started to use a knife to cut my fruit giving me sharp flat planes to work with instead of the ragged edges produced by hand peeling. Instinctively, I chose to repeat these planes with the crisp folds of the linen napkin.
