Happy New Year to all and welcome to the second year of "Painting of the Week".

I'm starting with a quiet piece, a tone that has definite appeal to me after all the holiday excitement of the past few weeks. Muted colors and a dissolving horizon line describe a peaceful harmony between objects, creating a quiet moment.
