Citrus
(24" x 18", oil on canvas)

I like the quiet, humble dignity of this piece. Although I have done peeled fruit and lemons many times before, no fruit is ever twice the same and I still delight in rendering the colors, shapes and textures.

White Rose
(16" x 16", oil on canvas)

I am clearly not a painter of flowers, but every once and awhile I try and give it a shot. I had the most fun rendering the small jar, trying to give the viewer only enough information to discern its shape. I think the simple composition saves this "floral" from being too predictable.

Cherries and Apricots
(18" x 24" oil on canvas)

Cherries are the single most requested subject I get. Here, to insure a variety of sizes, I've paired them with apricots. The small bowl is actually a teacup, but the size and shape was perfect for this composition, so I simply eliminated the handle.

Timeless 4, 5 and 6
(16" x 16" each, oil on canvas)

These three small squares are a continuation of my beach stones series and are meant to invoke a calm, contemplative mood. At this size they are great fun to paint and I think they look particularly good grouped together. Judging from the amount of feedback I got after presenting the first in this series, there are many kindred spirits who bring home these beach souvenirs.
