Blue Jug on Red
(28" x 20" oil on canvas)

The strawberries this year are almost too beautiful to eat – and I have taken full advantage of the season by paying homage to this year's crop in a few paintings. Here two beautifully strong colors, red and blue, live in harmony against the neutral green background. The large simple shapes support the more complex shapes and textures of the berries.

This painting is available at Gallery Gevik, Toronto, Ontario, SOLD.
