Winter Gourds
(18" x 24" oil on canvas)
More treasures from the market!
These gourds are great examples of the many colors that can be found in seemingly white objects. The more I looked at them the more colors I saw, from cool blues to warm yellows.
It is always an interesting exercise to push color boundaries and really search out those subtlest of details that are there, if only one looks hard enough.
This painting is available at Gallery Gevik, Toronto, Ontario, http://www.gevik.com. SOLD.
If you’d like to be included on my Painting of the Week email list please write me at daniele@dnbdesign.com. You’ll receive the painting of the week as well as news about shows.
